Your First Visit Should Feel Easy
Finding a new dentist can feel like a bigger decision than it should. Our goal is to make your first visit comfortable, straightforward, and useful.
Whether it has been six months or several years since your last dental appointment, you are welcome here. We will take the time to understand what is going on, answer your questions, and help you decide what makes sense for your smile and your health.
Haven't Been to the Dentist in a while?
You are not alone.
People postpone dental care for all kinds of reasons: busy schedules, dental anxiety, finances, previous experiences, or simply life getting in the way.
The important thing is what happens next.
We will meet you where you are today and help you move forward one step at a time.
What Happens at your first appointment?
Your first visit gives us an opportunity to get to know you, understand your concerns, and take a complete look at your oral health.
Depending on your individual needs, your appointment may include:
- A conversation about your dental and medical history
- A discussion of any pain, concerns, or goals you may have
- Necessary digital X-rays or imaging
- A comprehensive examination of your teeth and gums
- An oral health and periodontal evaluation
- A discussion of our findings
- Recommendations and treatment options, when needed
- Time for your questions
Our goal is not simply to tell you what we see.
We will help you understand why it matters and what your options are.

Concerned About a Specific Tooth?
You do not have to wait for a routine cleaning if something is bothering you.
If you are experiencing:
- Tooth pain
- Sensitivity
- A broken or cracked tooth
- Swelling
- A lost filling or crown
- Changes in your gums
- Problems chewing
- A cosmetic concern
Please contact our office. We can help determine the best type of appointment for your situation.
Consultation First. Decisions Second.
Not every dental concern requires immediate treatment.
If something needs attention, we will explain what we found and walk you through the available options. Together, we can determine what should be addressed first, what may be monitored, and what can wait.
You should never feel rushed into making a dental decision.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will I receive a cleaning at my first appointment?
Sometimes. The appropriate type of cleaning depends on the health of your gums and the amount of buildup present. We first evaluate your oral health so we can recommend the correct type of care rather than assuming every patient needs the exact same cleaning.
What if I am nervous about seeing the dentist?
Please tell us. Dental anxiety is common, and knowing about your concerns allows our team to make your visit more comfortable and explain things at a pace that works for you.
What if I know I need a lot of dental work?
You do not have to solve everything in one appointment. We can help prioritize treatment and develop a plan that makes sense clinically, personally, and financially.
Do you see patients who have not been to a dentist for several years?
Yes. Our focus is on your current oral health and helping you move forward.
Can I make an appointment for just one problem?
Absolutely. If you have a specific concern, let our team know when scheduling so we can help arrange the appropriate visit.
